University of Scranton students have organized a 5K "Heroes for Heroes" Run/Walk to raise funds for the Scranton Police Department and canned goods for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The run/walk will take place on Saturday, November 17th at 10 AM on the University's campus.  Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero.

The registration fee of $5 will be donated to the Scranton Police Department.  Participants are also encouraged to bring a canned good, which will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

Registration will be accepted on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:00 AM at the base of the Commons on the corner of Linden Street and Monroe Avenue or on Wednesday, November 14, from noon - 1 PM at the DeNaples Center.
