Acclaimed young violinist Kako Miura, a student of Masao Kawasaki at The Juilliard School, is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards in both Australia and the United States. She has had both solo and chamber music appearances at such distinguished venues as Alice Tully Hall of Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the Aspen Music Festival. A native of Tokyo, Japan, Kako grew up in many different parts of the world. Kako is passionate about giving back to the community, and in her free time regularly plays for patients and their families in hospitals across New York City as part of the Music and Medicine series.
