     American baritone Wilbert Kellerman has been described as "superb...a promising voice" (OperaWire) and "winning" (Schmopera) in recent performances. His roles in recent seasons have included the Secret Police Agent in Menotti's “The Consul”, the title role in “The Mikado” with Bronx Opera, Colline in “La Bohème”, and the roles of Alcade and Chirurgo in “La Forza del Destino” with New Amsterdam Opera. He has served as Apprentice Artist at Teatro Nuovo and Young Artist at Songfest in Los Angeles. He recently made his international debut in Sicily, singing Marco in “Gianni Schicchi” and Baron Douphol in an updated staging of “La Traviata”. Originally from Radford, Virginia, Wilbert currently resides in New York City, and is also an accomplished violinist.
