The Taiwanese Film and Cultural Festival

Two Prize-winning Taiwanese films (with English Subtitles). Meet the author and director. Presented by the Taipei Cultural Center and the Asian Studies Program at The University of Scranton in collaboration with the Schemel Forum.

The Moon Also Rises, based on the novel The Lotus in the Western Paradise, is a movie about a mother-daughter relationship and the tension between different kinds of love. Discussion following the film with the prize-winning author, Ang LI, on whose novel the film is based.
