Financial Aid Workshop

Tuesday, 15 January, 2013

The University of Scranton will conduct a financial aid workshop for prospective students and their parents on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the fourth-floor Moskovitz Theater of the DeNaples Center. The workshop will be presented by William Burke, director of financial aid at The University of Scranton, and will include a review of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and details regarding the Jesuit university’s academic scholarship and need-based assistance programs.

The program will also include information on federal- and state-aid programs, student and parent loans, and alternative financing options. Participants will be shown how to calculate the cost of attendance at The University of Scranton.

Each year, The University of Scranton awards approximately $19 million in institutional assistance to approximately 1,200 local students.

Staff from the University’s Admissions Office will be available to answer questions.

In the case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the same location.

Reservations are suggested for attending and can be made at www.scranton.edu/finaidworkshop.
