Free Women's Basketball Game for Local Girls

In celebration of the 27th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), The University of Scranton’s women’s basketball team, Recreational Sports Department, and the Jane Kopas Women’s Center invite local girls ages 8-18 to attend The University of Scranton women's basketball team play against Catholic on Saturday, February 9 at 5p.m.

Participants will receive a gift at the door and will be able to speak to a Lady Royal before the game. Registration is not required and there is no cost to the girls.

Since its inception in 1987, National Women and Girls in Sports Day has been celebrated annually in all 50 states with community-based events, award ceremonies, and activities honoring the achievements of female athletes and encouraging participation of girls and women in sports.
