Asian Studies tour will celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with a Zen Walk for Peace outdoor event at the Dionne Green on May 3 at 11 a.m. at the University of Scranton. After the Japan Night on May 2 and the Zen Walk on May 3 morning, the Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month 2013 series will continue with the Zen Walk on May 3rd morning and an Interactive Presentation in the afternnon (starting at 5 pm) by Dr. Petsas (Economics), Dr. Mohammed (Communication), and Dr. Meyer (Philosophy) about their one-week intensive cultural immersion experience in Taiwan and "Frontier Taiwan: Poetry, Politics, and Identity" with Prof. Chou-Yu Cheng/Zheng (poet-in-residence, faculty emeritus, Yale University), joined by Prof. John Hill (English, UofS), Dr. Linda Ledford-Miller (World Languages and Cultures, UofS), and students from our Chinese Mandarin classes (Co-sponsored with the Taipei Culture Center of TECO in New York).
