To honor the 125th anniversary of The University of Scranton, the Office of Equity and Diversity, in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Affairsm will premiere a short film documenting the evolution of diversity and diverse populations at The University of Scranton, to be followed by a panel discussion and reception.
The film, Diversity: The University of Scranton’s Metamorphosis, will include photos, personal interviews of past and current university employees and students, video clips, music, and for context, national/world historical events during the past 125 years.
A panel discussion related to the film, and a reception will follow the screening. Panelists include Dr. Karen Pennington, Mr. Sherman Wooden, Father Ron McKinney, former Mayor of Scranton Mr. David Wenzel, Dr. Ellen Casey and Mr. Keith Williams.
The evening events will cap off an all day exhibit in the McIllhenny Ballroom presented by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, displaying the history of diversity on campus. The exhibit opens at 12:00PM.
