Performance Music - What Makes It Great? The Great American Songbook

Saturday, 27 September, 2014

Please join Performance Music on September 27th as we welcome the renowned Robert Kapilow for one of his signature "What Makes It Great?" presentations.  Mr. Kapilow is an American composer, conductor and music commentator with degrees from Yale University and the Eastman School of Music.

Through his concert presentations and commentaries on NPR's "Performance Today," Rob takes listeners inside the music: he unravels, slows down and recomposes key passages to explain why music is extraordinary.  Great music rewards great listeners and Rob Kapilow's "What Makes It Great?" is about great listening.

Please visit our website at www.scranton.edu/music and select "coming events" to find additional information on our programs and artists.

All performances take place in the Houlihan-McLean Center at the corner of Mulberry Street and Jefferson Avenue and are free of charge and open to the public.

We hope to see you there!
