Beethoven’s Deafness: Psychological Crises and Artistic Triumph

During the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, psychiatrist and concert pianist Dr. Richard Kogan explores Beethoven’s extraordinary resilience in response to medical and mental illness and illustrates his artistic transformation through performances of some of his most glorious music.
