Spirituality Luncheon - African American Church Leaders on the Road to Sainthood

UNIVERSITY FACULTY AND STAFF:

Please join Fr. Patrick Rogers, S.J. for a presentation celebrating the lives of some extraordinary witnesses to the Gospel of Christ in the context of the African American experience.  Pierre Toussaint, Mother Mary Lange, Fr. Augustus Tolton and Sr. Thea Bowman all led amazingly holy lives in the context of an American culture that often did not recognize their full humanity nor the humanity of other people of color.  Please join me and find out more about these soon to be Catholic saints and the extraordinary lives they led for the greater glory of God and the Church.

LUNCH:

A boxed lunch is being offered to those who wish to participate.  These lunches will be available in the Jesuit Center at 11:30 AM.  For those of you in the PCPS the Jesuit Center will have work studies bring you your lunch.  You much place your order by the end of the day Tuesday February 15, 2022. 

If you desire a boxed lunch please RSVP to Bryn Schofield at the following email address bryn.schofield@scranton.edu.

If you are in the PCPS please let her know your office number so the student workers can deliver your meal.

    Asian Chicken Salad: 

    Grilled Chicken, Romaine, Vegetables, Orange and Almonds tossed with a Sweet and Spicy Sesame Dressing 

     
    Sesame Tofu Garden Salad: 

    Grilled Tofu, Bell Pepper, Carrot and Cucumber on Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette
