Trauma Informed Investigation Training for Police and Investigators

Gary Kelly of G. Kelly Blue Line Consulting, LLC. will present Trauma Informed Training: Neurobiology and Trauma Informed Investigations.

This training is intended to…

  • Teach criminal justice and campus Title IX professionals to account for the effect that trauma has on a reporting individual, and how this can affect their memory thereafter, and the ability to recall specific details
  • Explore how fear and trauma cause changes in the brain that impact a victim’s response during a traumatic event, and memory thereafter. 
  • Minimize victim alienation and wrongful accusations of false reporting
  • Provide knowledge and methods to accurately identify critical psycho-physiological evidence from interviewing victims of trauma (and the accused), maximizing accurate information and minimizing any further trauma.

Lunch will be provided. Reqistration Required.
