As if the awkwardness of such a date weren’t enough, the tension is at an all-time high as it takes place on September 12, 2001. The show takes a crazy turn as the imposing neighbor Ron and his woman-friend Nancy engage in outrageous antics , which are guaranteed to leave audiences fully entertained. Waverly brings the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotion as she desperately tries to reach her twin sister who may have been in the Twin Towers that tragic day, joins Ron and Nancy in their outlandish acts, and still tries to engage Andrew on their first date. The arrival of renowned author Joyce Carroll Oates, portrayed by a sock puppet, allows the characters to reveal their feelings and emotions surrounding the tragic events of September 11th. This charming piece is guaranteed to leave audiences gasping for air between laughs and on the edge of their seats as the characters’ realizations and Waverly’s hunt for her sister conclude this powerful expression of life after tragedy.
