Through campus and guest speakers, this series serves to engage the varied challenges facing the Greater Scranton area. Q&A and Discussion will provide an opportunity to share interests in issues affecting the Greater Scranton area as well as discuss community engagement efforts currently being undertaken.
One in Three Homeless in Scranton are Veterans:
Root Causes, Solutions & Ways to Help
Monsignor Kelly will discuss homelessness in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the human stories behind these men and women, particularly veterans, in our community. Msgr. Kelly will draw on his decades of experience working for the Diocese of Scranton and the work that Catholic Social Services does through programs such as the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen and most recently, the St. Francis Commons transitional- living facility for homeless veterans.
