Friday, 21 October, 2016
Painters have long sought the challenge of representing atmospheric effects related to light, weather, and distance. In her work, Dale Emmart expands this range of en plein air subjects to include images of industrial smoke, plumes, and exhaust. Emmart, who holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and has taught extensively at the college level, is the recipient of a Northeast Biennial 2016 solo exhibition award.
