Nhu Nguyen, sophomore, International Business, originally from Ho Chi Min City, relates “Most people don’t know about the uniqueness of the Asian countries.”  Vietnam, located in southeast Asia, once split into North and South sovereign nations, was reunified in 1975 after the infamous Vietnam War. Despite the unified country holding a communist government, Nguyen says “The relationship between Vietnam and the United States has been good for some time. While Vietnam is communist, the people are very open to doing business internationally, to know more about other countries and to learn from them.” Co-presenter, Phuong Nguyen, first-year student Health Administration, originally from the Vietnam capital Hanoi, shared “Hanoi is like Washington, D.C in Vietnam. It has a lot of historical buildings and art.”
