Mercy in Motion - The Work of Jesuit Refugee Services

Jesuit Refugee Service Interim Director, Fr. Leo J. O’Donovan, is the keynote speaker for the In Solidarity With Syria lecture, “Mercy in Motion.” Fr. Leo will expand on the work of JRS' Global Education Initiative which provided educational services to more than 141,000 people in 38 countries last year. A noted theologian, Fr. Leo is President Emeritus of Georgetown University where he served from 1989 to 2001. Fred Mukelo, a Congolese refugee, will share his story of displacement from his native country to Scranton. The event will take place on Wednesday, 10/26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Leahy Hall Kane Forum, Room 235.
