An Open Discussion on Political Literacy
The 2016 presidential campaign reminded us that many political actors seem to disagree about what constitutes antisemitism. Recognizing standard features of what is sometimes called “the longest hatred” can help us to identify, explain, and respond to hate. To this end, participants will explore the origins of antisemitism; examine common antisemitic attitudes; and discuss historical and contemporary examples of antisemitic stereotyping.
