We’ll witness what used to be a city in distress emerging as a mecca for higher education and culture. We begin the tour at a the special exhibition at the Newark Art Museum and then repair to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center to enjoy lunch and hear the London Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of the renowned conductor Simon Rattle, perform the incomparable Gustave Mahler’s Symphony No. 9, the composer’s final and arguably greatest achievement.
Cost is $95 per person which includes transportation as well as museum entrance fees and guided tour and symphony tickets. The bus leaves from The University of Scranton at 7:45 a.m. & arrives back on campus at approximately 6:30 p.m.
