Town Hall with Dr. James O'Connell

The 2018-19 Ignatian Values in Action Lecturer, Dr. James O'Connell, assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and founding leader of the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP), will host a town hall meeting to discuss his 30+ years of administering medicine to the homeless population in Boston. Dr. O'Connell will be joined by pre-med students who attended the International Street Medicine conference in Allentown last year. Students and Dr.O'Connell will talk for a few minutes each, and then they will respond to questions from attendees. 

Dr. O'Connell's memoir, Stories From the Shadows: Reflections of a Street Doctor, chronicles his 30+ years of administering medicine to the homeless population in Boston; it is the 2018-19 RoyalRead.
