Free Performance - Thinking Inside the Box

Thursday, 28 March, 2019

A one-women, three-act soliloquy on the thoughts and feelings of three women in the Presidential Box with Lincoln when he was assassintated. The tragedy's effects on the life of each of woman--Mary Todd Lincoln, Laura Keene, and Clara Harris--is also brought to life in the performance.

Co-sponsored by the University's Women's and Gender Studies Program and Art Program.

Donations to the Pike County Historical Society and Museum will happily be accepted at the door. The Museum is home to the Lincoln Flag; the large American Flag draped over the balustrade of the theater box where Lincoln and the women sat the night of his assassination.
