Born in Moscow, PA, in a region surrounded by the Pocono Mountains, Koval Grippo developed an in nature and art early on. New York City was just a bus ride away, and as a youth she ventured there to explore the ultimate contemporary art scene. Grippo graduated with an art degree from Keystone College, La Plume, PA, and attended classes at the Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA, before deciding to live an inner city urban lifestyle in Washington D.C., where she received a District of Columbia Arts and Humanities Commission Visual Arts Grant, and San Francisco, CA, where she worked in the Couture and Design Industry. Abstract painting has always been her main passion, and she is intrigued with combining color, texture, movement, and the earth’s spirit to capture a moment, reflection, or seed of thought.  Within the mountains and above the skies she finds shapes and lines that reveal the essence of life and inspire her to paint intimate landscapes reflecting this great mystery.

Gallery Hours: Sunday through Friday noon to 4 p.m.; Wednesday evenings 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
