Education for Justice Lecture: Army Col. Mark Volk, Pentagon, 9/11

Thursday, 22 March, 2012

Army Col. Mark Volk’s remarkable military career culminated at the Pentagon on September 11, when the plane flown by terrorists crashed directly under his office on the 3rd floor. Col. Volk was awarded the Soldier’s Medal, the army’s highest non-combat award for heroism, for his actions that led to the safe evacuation of hundreds of people that day. His 26-year Army career involved work in intelligence and national security and included posts in the Middle East.

Col. Volk currently serves as Lackawanna College Executive Vice-President; he will take office as President of the College this summer. http://www.timesleader.com/golackawanna/news/Mark-Volk-selected-8th-President-of-Lackawanna-College.html
