Wednesday, 22 February, 2023
Celebrate Kuwait National Day with a cup of Arabic coffee, Kuwaiti sweets, Henna, and more. Enjoy learning more about Kuwait traditions and experiencing some for yourself!
Join Arabic FLTA Badoor Albuloushi for a cup of Arabic coffee and traditional Kuwaiti sweets while she shares the celebration of Kuwait National Day and Liberation Day, celebrated every year at the end of February. She will also teach everyone how to apply henna and how to write their names in Arabic, and to serve coffee, a sign of generosity and hospitality in Kuwait. She invites everyone to experience Kuwaiti celebrations for themselves!
This event will take place on Wednesday, February 22 at 4:30 in Leahy 235 (the Kane Forum) sponsored by the World Languages and Cultures Department. Open to students, faculty, and staff.
