May 11 University-Downtown Engagement Meeting

The University of Scranton Invites Downtown Scranton Businesses & Cultural Venues to a Meeting on “UNIVERSITY-DOWNTOWN ENGAGEMENT” on Friday, May 11 from 8:30-9:45am in the Rose Room, 5th floor of Brennan Hall (300 block of Madison Ave.)

This meeting is hosted by The University of Scranton’s Office of Community Relations, in collaboration with the University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and in partnership with Scranton Tomorrow and the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.

This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the promotional activities and special events that The University of Scranton has undertaken over the course of the 2011-2012 academic year to increase University-downtown engagement and to explore further ideas for collaboration.

The agenda will include:

* Student Feedback: Interests and Opportunities *

* Interactive Programs: Downtown Scavenger Hunt & more *

* Leveraging Major University Events: Family Weekend & Beyond *

* Marketing to the Campus: “Business Update” & Social Media *

* Discussion & Input: Further Areas for Collaboration *
