Catholic Studies Lecture - Peter Kreeft on Faith & Reason

The University of Scranton will host a lecture and discussion by Peter Kreeft, Ph.D., professor of philosophy at Boston College, entitled “The Wild and Wonderful Marriage Between Faith and Reason: A Historical Story” on Friday, September 28th.

Sponsored by the University’s Catholic Studies Program; the Jesuit Center; and the Department of Theology/Religious Studies, the lecture is free of charge and open to the public. It will begin at 3 p.m. in the Moskovitz Theater of the DeNaples Center.

A prolific writer, Dr. Kreeft regularly contributes to several Christian publications and has authored more than 60 books. He has written about topics as varied as theology and logic; the authors, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien; culture wars; surfing; and relating to God and heaven�"for adults and children.  His latest work is the Summa Philosophica, which explores 110 key questions in philosophy.

In addition to serving as a professor at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Mass., since 1965, Dr. Kreeft is also a distinguished visiting professor of philosophy at the King’s College, New York City, N.Y. During his career he has also taught as an adjunct professor at more than 15 colleges across the United States.
