PUBLIC INVITED TO ELECTION 2012 TOWN HALL MEETING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SCRANTON
The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will go on the road to visit select college campuses in order to gauge reaction about the upcoming election less than a month before voters take to the polls on Tuesday, November 6. The University of Scranton will be one of those scheduled stops.
The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will go on the road to visit select college campuses in order to gauge reaction about the upcoming election less than a month before voters take to the polls on Tuesday, November 6. The University of Scranton will be one of those scheduled stops.
Starting Monday, October 8, PCN will pre-empt the “PCN Call-In” program to air LIVE Election 2012 town hall meetings hosted at universities and colleges across the state beginning at 7:00 p.m. The University of Scranton will kick off the special programming on Monday, October 8.
The town hall meeting, which will be held in the Pearn Auditorium in Brennan Hall on the campus of the University of Scranton, is open to the public. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Brennan Hall is located in the 300 block of Madison Avenue in Scranton.
The hour-long LIVE program will allow college students and area residents the chance to share questions and comments about election 2012 with a guest panel. Confirmed panelists for the evening include: Dr. Chris Borick, director of Institute of Public Opinion at Muhlenberg College; Pat McKenna, associate editor of the Scranton Times-Tribune; Dr. William Parente, professor of political science at the University of Scranton and Dr. Matthew Reavy, chairman of the communication department at the University of Scranton.
