Mass of Remembrance

The Church has a long tradition of remembering those who have died. In the Catholic tradition, we do this in a special way throughout the month of November by joining in prayer and worship and calling to mind those who have gone before us. On Thursday, Nov. 15, at 4:40 p.m. a Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated in Madonna della Strada Chapel. Please join us as we remember in prayer the deceased family members, friends and loved ones of the students, faculty and staff of The University of Scranton.

As part of the Mass on Nov. 15, there will be a ritual reading of the names of those who have died since this time last year. If you have lost a friend or loved one during the past year and would like their name included in the ritual during Mass, please email Amy Hoegen at amy.hoegen@scranton.edu and include your name, the name of the deceased and your relationship to them as well as if you plan on attending the Mass of Remembrance.
