Medical Alumni Council Reception
Thursday, 04 April, 2013
The University of Scranton's Medical Alumni Council will host a reception on Thursday, April 4th at 6:30 p.m. In the Loyola Science Center's PNC Auditorium.
We are honored to welcome guest speaker Dennis Dawgert, M.D. '68.
As medical practitioners, we are taught to examine patients, diagnose there ailments and provide treatment to alleviate their pain and distress. St Ignatius Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises teaches a way to examine ourselves, evaluate our spiritual life and on the way discover how to make ourselves healthier human beings. This talk plans to explore how Ignatian Spiritual Practices can influence and improve practitioners personally, and medical care in the process
After the presentation, we will enjoy a networking reception with current students as well as tours of the new Loyola Science Center. We will also provide an update on the Medical Alumni Council's activities.
Our goal is to provide a program that offers meaningful content, networking opportunities with fellow alumni and current students, and a connection to your Alma Mater.
The evening is $20 per person.
