Scranton Alumni Day of Service Fairfield, Iowa: Maharishi University of Managment

Cleanup on a lake trail, such as: remove fallen limbs; trim the branches and weeds overhanging the trail. Bring nippers and gloves if available.  Lunch is vegetarian at Argiro.

Meet and greet for lunch at noon, at Maharishi University of Management (Argiro Student), or meet at 1 p.m. (main floor, Argiro). Meal tickets for lunch provided.

Location: Site coordinator will meet volunteers in Argiro and head over to site.

Directions:

  • Take exit 212 (Iowa Highway 1) off of US 34 from west or east of here.
  • Turn north on Iowa Highway 1 for about 1.5 miles.
  • Follow signs for #1--jog left a block, then turn right and go north again for a half mile until you hit Merrill, turning left a long block until you hit 4th street (traffic signal), turning right again.
  • University is on your right almost immediately.  Take first right turn; once you turn, Argiro is the large three-story yellow brick bldg. on your immediate left. Park there John Miller will meet volunteers in the lobby.
