The University of Scranton Players conclude their Spring 2013 season with Museum by Tina Howe. The Players are going out with a bang as they transform the Royal Theatre into an art gallery! Displaying works that depict the arts in various forms, this production celebrates all the efforts of professionals and students in the university’s theatre department. The story follows the lives of an eclectic group of museum-goers on the last day of exhibiton, showing how even through the barriers of everyday life, we all can respond to and are transformed by art. The Players welcome Director A. Bryan Humphrey, renowned for his work in education as well as with Shakespeare Festivals across the country, to present this hilarious and charming work.
The cast features: Cillian Byrne, Cristin Carroll, Nicole Cobles, Holly Ference, Catherine Fischer, David Hunisch, Michael Kranick, Megan Lasky, Kiley Lotz, Joe McGurl, Bernadette Mick, Jeremiah Mullen, John Niemiec, James Pennington, Susan Pickup, Camille Reinecke, Xiomara Rolon, and James Shygelski.
The production staff for Museum includes Richard Larsen, Producer/ Set Designer/Lighting Designer; Janice Tellier, Costume Designer; Conway Rowe, Sound Designer , Keri Irace, Stage Manager, and Assistant Stage Managers Megan Esty and Brianna Kelley.
Performances are on Friday, April 26 -Saturday, April 27, and Friday, May 3- Saturday, May 4 at 8:00 pm and on Sunday, April 28 and Sunday, May 5 beginning at 2:00 pm. All performances will take place at The University of Scranton’s Royal Theater in the McDade Center for Literary and Performing Arts.
