Clothesline Project Banner Making

Monday, 14 April, 2014

The Clothesline Project is a part of Take Back The Night. Take Back The Night is a march and rally against all forms of sexual violence. The Clothesline Project is a program that addresses the issues of violence by allowing those that have experienced violence to tell their story by decorating a t-shirt.

The Clothesline Project Banner is a way in which allies and those who support others who have been effected by violence can show their support by placing their handprint on a banner which will be displayed at Take Back The Night.

Please be a part of the movement to end violence.

The colors used for the Clothesline Project are:

Red, pink and orange: survivors of sexual assault and rape
Black: people who have been attacked for political reasons
White: people who have died due to violence
Blue and green: survivors of incest and sexual abuse
Purple and lavender: people who have been attacked for their sexual orientation
Yellow and beige: people who have been battered and assaulted
