R.O.A.R. (Ryan O'Malley Annual Race) 5K

The University of Scranton has partnered with the O’Malley Family to present the second R.O.A.R (Ryan O’Malley Annual Race) in support of The Ryan T. O’Malley ’99 Memorial Scholarship. The event will take place April 27, 2014 at Nay Aug Park in Scranton. Last year, over 300 runners and walkers joined in making the event an overwhelming success!

The scholarship was established by Dr. John (Jack) ’64 and Helene O’Malley, along with their children, John, Ed, Julie, Diane and Erin, in commemoration of their loving son and brother who was a 1999 graduate of The University of Scranton. The scholarship enables computer science students in financial need to attend The University of Scranton. All event proceeds from the ROAR 5k run/walk have gone to the Ryan T. O'Malley Scholarship at The University of Scranton.

The scholarship has raised over $30,000 to date and will continue to support University of Scranton students year after year. If you’d like to make a gift to the Ryan T. O’Malley ’99 Memorial Scholarship, please click here.

Race check-in/number pick-up from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.  Walk-in registration is available.  New this year, a 1-mile fun run for children 12 and under!
