The University of Scranton Players will be unveiling their second show of the season,  The Pillowman, by Martin McDonagh.  The play takes under a totalitarian dictatorship in an interrogation room where a young writer of twisted and gruesome tales, Katurian (played by Cillian Byrne) is being questioned by two detectives, Tupolski (played by Mike Kranick) and Ariel (played by Brian Lenehan), about his stories which have come to life.  Also starring in this producation are James Penningnton as Michal, Dan Mauro as the Father, and Lauren Garel as the Mother.  This is an extremely haunting black comedy filled with physical violence, course language, disturbing images, and adult themes.  Parental discretion is required.

The Pillowman will be performed on the Royal Theatre in the McDade Center for Literary and Performing Arts (CLP 108) on the following dates:

November 14-16; 21-23

Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8:00PM, Sunday matinees begin at 2:00PM.

Tickets for The Pillowman are the following prices:

General Admission: $10

All Students (University or High School), Faculty, Staff, and Senior Citizens: $7

All first year students may see the second weeked of shows free of charage.
