Culture & Conversation - In Defense of Self-Defense - The Black Panther Party in History and Memory.

This year's Black History Month edition of Culture & Conversation welcomes Dr. Yohuru Williams, Professor of History at Fairfield University, and one of the nation's lead scholars on Black power movements. Dr. Williams' scholarly articles have appeared in The Black ScholarThe Journal of Black Studies, The Organization of American Historians Magazine of HistoryDelaware History, Pennsylvania History, and the Black History Bulletin.

Join us as Dr. Williams offers remarks on the history of the Black Panther Party and reflections of the organization's perceptions in our contemporary society. Refreshments will be provided.
